Julie Chen Moonves hosts the hit summer reality series Big Brother, which returned for the 22nd season on in August, on CBS.Chen Moonves was among the original hosts of The Daytime Emmy Award-winning talk show The Talk, serving as moderator and host from the year the year 2010 until 2018. Then it was when she started writing that her true passion emerged. She won another Emmy for hosting an excellent entertainment talk show. The Talk examines contemporary events, through the lens of five female hostesses. Chen Moonves hosted CBS News the early morning news program The Early Show for a decade. Prior to that, she was the CBS Morning News anchor and the host for The Early Show. Chen Moonves was assigned to Cairo after the terrorist attacks of 9/11. She went her down and spoke with the father who commanded hijackers to an eye-opening, fascinating interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. Also, she spoke to former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani as well as Queen Rania. Chen Moonves has also worked with CBS's New York City station WCBS as a reporter, anchor as well as a producer (1997-1999). Before joining CBS News in 1995, Chen Moonves had been an anchor and reporter for WDTN TV Dayton. She was a producer for ABC NewsOne (1992-1995), the affiliate news service of the network as well as an assistant desk in ABC News' Los Angeles bureau (1990-1991) as she completed her senior year at the University of Southern California. The desk was hers for ABC News' Nightline program with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel has remained as one of her journalist idols.
